Comprehensive Assessment:
Peak uses the Principles and Practices for Nonprofit Excellence in Colorado (developed by the Colorado Nonprofit Association) as a template. We work with the leadership of the organization, the staff, and the community to determine the organization’s level of understanding and accomplishment in the following areas:
- Governance
- Planning
- Transparency and Accountability
- Fundraising
- Financial Management
- Human Resources
- Evaluation
- Civic Engagement and Public Policy
- Strategic Alliances
Based on this assessment we develop strategies for capitalizing on strengths and addressing weaknesses. This process is both educational and empowering for the organization and all stakeholders.
Partial Assessment:
Partial assessments may focus on any of the categories listed above, or can be designed to meet some of the following needs:
- Board evaluation processes
- Leadership evaluation processes
- Staff evaluation processes
- Program (existing or new) design and assessment
- Stakeholder surveying
- Mission relevance assessment and market analysis
Assessments focused on very specific programs or processes address more immediate and practical needs of the organization.
