Tutoring

Tutoring

Peak provides a multi-faceted educational plan for a broad range of students. Our custom programs offer something for students at every grade level and across the cognitive spectrum. We apply a progressive and effective framework to the students’ specific academic situation that encourages confidence, success, and independence. Programs also inspire students to take their education into their own hands and develop a life-long love of learning. Each program utilizes small group tutorials and 1-on-1 support. Students are assisted with homework completion and general study skills in small-group tutorials. Students then concentrate on specific areas of need, acceleration or remediation in 1-on-1 tutorial sessions.

Cognitive Evaluation

Peak Education offers cognitive evaluations for two purposes: First, we desire to provide baseline values to more clearly assess a student's initial performance against their post-program performance. In this manner, we can more clearly identify area(s) of progress and modify our focus areas dynamically. Second, cognitive evaluations can offer a broad view of students’ on-page tendencies. Cognitive evaluations provide an accurate appraisal of how students are likely to perform when they are presented with unique or unfamiliar academic situations. Cognitive evaluations are a useful tool allowing Peak-Client-Student to associate performance scores with performance potential.

Peak’s rates for tutorial services are unique to the design of each individual contract. Rates are determined by the nature of the services provided. These services are typically designed to be devlivered in a short-term, high-intensity environment. Lower rates are associated with small group services focusing on the development of general skills or subject matter. These services are typically designed to be delivered in a longer-term, lower-intensity environment. Many tutorial packages are designed to incorpotate multiple services.
